When you deal with a
headache, you might attribute discomfort to tension, a hangover or hormonal changes. However, these aren't the only causes of a headache. If you suffer from pain often, the underlying problem can be your lifestyle or personal habits. Sure, you can take medication and enjoy fast relief. But if you don't get to the root of the problem, pain can recur.
1. Caffeine-withdrawal. You may not see yourself as a caffeine addict, but if you drink coffee and caffeinated sodas regularly, missing your daily fix can trigger a
headache.
2. Too little sleep. Even if you go to bed and wake up the same time each day, your body may not receive adequate sleep - especially if you wake up during the night or sleep with the television on.
3. Food allergies. Many people will not blame a headache on food. But if you develop a headache shortly after consuming certain foods or drinks, an allergy can be the underlying problem.
4. Lotions and bath oils. Shower gels, candles and lotions can provide a refreshing, clean scent. But if you're sensitive to a particular scent, this can trigger sinus pressure and a
headache.
